Comments: This heat was re-run due to an unsatisfactory start as Ward was moving on the line. He was also warned to stay still.

Comments: Foord was the star of this heat. He started in 4th, made his way past Congreve and then had a real battle with Trigger. It was very close as they both crossed the line together, the ref gave it to Foord.

Comments: Another 5-1 for the Cubs. There was movement on the line but the ref let it go. Congreve slid off his bike but managed to clear the track and was thanked by the ref for his actions.
