Heat 02: Garrad, James, Foord, Clouting 3-3 (6-6) (45-56) 63.18
Line Up: Foord, James, Clouting, Garrad
Comments: This heat was re-run due to an unsatisfactory start with Clouting moving on the line. Garrad took the early lead but was challenged a few times by James.
Supported by Friends Of Steve Casey - Always An Ace
Heat 03: Killeen, Perry, Kinsley, Spencer 2-4 (8-10) (47-60) 61.72
Line Up: Perry, Spencer, Kinsley, Killeen
Comments: No overtaking in the heat.

Heat 04: Thompson, Atkins, Garrad, James 3-3 (11-13) (50-63) 62.81
Line Up: Thompson, James, Atkins, Garrad
Comments: Once the starting marshal had sorted out the riders who were in the wrong positions, the head started and Thompson dominated the heat. James tried his best to separate the Oxford pair but they just kept closing the gap every time he got close to them.

TRACK GRADING
Heat 08: Boughen, James, Scott, Garrad 5-1 (25-23) (64-73) 61.78
Line Up: Boughen, James, Scott, Garrad
Comments: The first 5-1 for the Cubs tonight. Heat had to re-run as there was an unsatisfactory start.
Supported by Scorpions TV - Never Miss a Sting! link
Heat 09: Perry, Spencer, Atkins, Clouting 5-1 (30-24) (69-74) 61.68
Line Up: Perry, Spencer, Atkins, Clouting

Heat 10: Boughen, Killeen, Clegg, Kinsley 4-2 (34-26) (73-76) 61.53
Line Up: Clegg, Boughen, Kinsley, Killeen
Comments: Another win for Boughen, good steady ride for him.

Heat 11: Thompson, James, Jenkins (FX), Scott (FX) 5-0 (39-26) (78-76) 63.47
Line Up: Thompson,Foord James, Jenkins, Scott
Comments: As you can see there are only two riders who completed the heat. Firstly, Foord missed the two minutes and was excluded. James came in to replace him. The heat started and both Jenkins and Scott fell, the ref deemed them to be separate accidents and excluded them both! This left Thompson and James in the re-run. The ref specified that both riders MUST compete against each other.

Heat 12: Perry, Garrad, James (FX), Kinsley (FX) 3-2 (42-28) (81-78) 63.53
Line Up: Perry, James, Kinsley,Clouting Garrad
Comments:
(20:29) Heat 12 is going to be interesting, if they get started. So far Kinsley and James have both been excluded for causing the stoppage. Oxford riders and the ref have been down to look at turns 1&2. Now the tractor is out trying to sort it out.
(20:46) The tractor is still going round but the ref has gone back inside his nice warm box. Texter can hear the bikes starting up again so doesn't think it will be too long now for racing to continue.
(20:48) Two minutes are on. Only two riders in heat 12.
(20:52) Spoke too soon. The heat started, the tapes went up and Garrad crashed before the first bend. Damage to Garrad's bike so there's another delay.
(20:54) Two minutes back on.
Re-run x2: Where do I start. Kinsley and James both fell and were excluded. The track was then inspected by everyone including the ref. The tractors came out. Only two riders in the re-run. Garrad collided with Perry before the first bend and then had to have repairs done to his bike. In the next re-run, they both made it round the track with Perry keeping his distance from Garrad who at one stage was all over the place.

Heat 13: Thompson, Jenkins, Atkins, Clegg 3-3 (45-31) (84-81) 61.41
Line Up: Clegg, Thompson, Jenkins, Atkins
Comments: All four riders completed the heat without incident.
Supported by Vin's Ices @ Sheffield Speedway- the best ice cream in British speedway!
Heat 14: Garrad, Killeen, Spencer, Foord 1-5 (46-36) (85-86) 63.54
Line Up: Spencer, Foord, Killeen, Garrad
Comments: This heat was actually re-run three times. The first was an unsatisfactory start, 2nd attempt Garrad clashed with Spencer and ended up in a heap and the third time he almost clashed with Spencer again. I think most of the riders avoided him after that.
Supported by The Speedway Updates Team who have Dedicated this Heat in Memory of the Voice of Speedway: Nigel Pearson (1970-2022)
Heat 15: Thompson, Killeen, Boughen, Garrad 4-2 (50-38) (89-88) 61.57
Line-up: Boughen, Thompson, Killeen, Garrad
Comments: Oxford take gates 2&4. This heat was re-run as an unsatisfactory start as once again Garrad ended up in a heap again. In the re-run Thompson took the early lead and up to the last lap it looked like it was going to be a three all, sadly for Oxford, Garrad took the second turn too wide which let Boughen get past him to finish third.
