Comments: Excellent first bend by Harris off gate 1, and he pulled away to a comfy win. Łaguta was very slow away - not sure if he was expecting a restart, or he had a problem. Never saw him on camera again, and he retired at some point.

Heat 02: Cook, Jenkins, Vissing, Edwards 5-1 (8-4)
Line Up: Cook, Jenkins, Vissing, Edwards
Comments: Vissing made a good start off 1, but Cook came under him on 3rd/4th bends lap to take the lead, and Jenkins followed suit on B1/2 of lap 2. Vissing out of shape B2 lap3 and fell back.

Comments: Basso held off Tigers' challenge on first lap, and won with ease. No sign of Tarasenko, who pulled up at some stage.

Comments: Musielak swept across from gate 4. Cook stuck at the back after tight first bend, and passed Edwards on the back straight of the second lap.

Line Up: Tarasenko, Basso, R/R - Holder, Howarth
Comments: Howarth takes an excellent win - pursued by Basso who almost gets alongside him going into B3 L4, but Howarth holds him off. Meanwhile, Tarasenko, who looked faster than Basso, tried a few different lines, which never gave Holder a chance to mount a challenge.

Heat 06: Łaguta, Harris, Musielak, Vissing 5-1 (22-14)
Line Up: Łaguta, Harris, Musielak, Vissing
Comments: Łaguta got away, despite lurching wide off Bend 2. Musielak chasing, and Harris took the opportunity to wind it on round the outside of Musielak. Not sure that Łaguta looked for Harris, who eventually settled into a tighter line.

Comments: Holder looked to be quickest away, although Cook simply drove around the outside of bends 1&2 to take the win.

Comments: Super effort by Jenkins. With Harris clear after the first lap, and Jenkins at the back, Jenkins went between the Tigers (outside Edwards and inside Howarth) off Bend 2, Lap 2.

Comments: Tarasenko kept the wider line off gate 4 and emerged in the lead off bend 2.

Heat 10: (Re-run) Laguta, Pickering, Holder, Harris (FX) 3-3 (37-23)
Line Up: Łaguta, Harris, Holder, Pickering
Comments: STOPPED. Coming off Bend 2, Łaguta trying to outside run, but Harris collected him and they both fell. Harris up, Łaguta being looked at by Paramedics. Harris excluded. Looking at the replay, Harris picked up some grip and had to avoid Pickering's back wheel, which sent him straight into Łaguta's path. Full speed crash!
Re-run: Łaguta went between the Sheffield riders off Bend 2, and never looked back.

Comments: STOPPED. Ref decides it's an unsatisfactory start. On replay, Howarth looks to have made an excellent start, just quicker than everyone else.
Restart: Cook powers outside Pickering on the opening bends.
