Comments: Jenkins away and gone. Edinburgh comfortable in 2nd and 3rd until Bickley just pulls up at the end of lap 1, didn't look mechanical, sun in his eyes possibly? Either way it throws Simpson off and Clouting passes him with ease down the backstraight lap 2.

Comments: Clouting leading from Wood, Dugard 3rd and Simpson at the back. Both Edinburgh riders fall whilst challenging the rider in front at almost exactly the same time. Simpson excluded.
Re-run: Clouting gates. Nice cutback from Wood B3 L1 to hit the front. Clouting then falls B3 L2 and clears the track. Dugard slows right down thinking the race was going to be stopped but it wasn't. Wood then inexplicably falls B1 L4 when half a lap ahead of Dugard who ends up somehow winning the race. Two finishers only.
