Heat Results
Heat 01: Ayres,Terry-Daley,Davey,Harris 3-3 55.91
Line Up: Ayres, Harris, Davey, Terry-Daley
Comments: Ayres away like a hare from the traps & won it by a street then celebrated like he had just won the league, FTG behind him though.

Heat 02: Re-Run: Dwyer,Tedham,Burnett,Govier (F) 3-3 (6-6) 58.22
Line Up: Dwyer, Govier, Burnett 15mtr, Tedham
Comments:Tapes destroyed , Dwyer clearly moves on the inside but that tempted Burnett to go through them. Burnett will now go off 15mtrs but Dwyer is warned to sit still.
Re-Run: Dwyer gated & won by more then a straight. The other 3 seemed to be struggling on the bends but Burnett made up the 15 mtrs to pass Govier & then tried to also pass team
mate Tedham almost T boned him about 5 times. Govier fell on bend 1/2 lap 4 while stone last.

Heat 03: Atkin,Lawlor,Wallinger,Greenwood 2-4 (8-10) 59.31
Line Up: Greenwood, Lawlor, Atkin, Wallinger
Comments: Lawlor made the best reaction but Atkin beat him into turn 1. Greenwood spent the opening bends trying to avoid the fence and lost around 40mtrs
He tried in vain the make the ground up but in truth never looked like doing it.

Heat 04: Perry,Priest,Tedham,Govier (R) 3-3 (11-13) 57.78
Line Up: Perry, Govier, Priest, Tedham
Comments: Govier only made the 1st turn & left the track EF or feeling the effects of his heat 2 fall the texter doesn't know.
Perry in another postcode , there appears to be a lot of dirt on this track which is dragging the riders towards the fence.

Heat 05: Davey,Greenwood,Lawlor,Terry-Daley (F) 3-3 (14-16) 57.03
Line Up: Greenwood, Lawlor, Davey, Terry-Daley
Comments: Davey wins by a mile up front. Lawlor was 2nd until Greenwood went under him hard unnecessarily & almost putting Lawlor into the fence.
Meanwhile RTD fell on his own bend 1/2 lap 2 while last.

Heat 06: Re-Run: Ayres,Priest,Harris (EX),Burnett (EX) 3-2 (17-18) RACED AWARDED
Line Up: Ayres, Harris, Priest, Burnett
Comments: STOPPED: Burnett drifts wide & dumps Harris into the bottom of turn 2 fence, Not a dirty move by Burnett the dirt just dragged him out there. Burnett is disqualified but fair play to him
he came straight round to check Harris was ok.
** SHORT DELAY AS TERRY-DALEY HAS LOST HIS FUEL CAP SOMEWHERE ON THE TRACK SO THE STAFF ARE NOW LOOKING FOR IT **
Re-run: STOPPED: Harris on for an easy paid win until he gets sucked into the turn 4 fence just after the air fence but thankfully he managed to half bail off
so walks away ok with only dented pride . Race awarded.

Heat 07: Perry,Atkin,Dwyer,Wallinger (R) 4-2 (21-20) 57.47
Line Up: Perry, Dwyer, Atkin, Wallinger
Comments: Perry away but from gate 1 it almost gave the Stoke "OAP" Potters a run around the outside.Perry looked almost surprised to see them there
& hussled into turn 3 he then took off for an easy win. Atkin then didn't give Wallinger much room a couple of times which allowed Dwyer to pass him .
Wallinger then turned into the pits on lap 4.

Heat 08: Re-Run: Harris,Terry-Daley,Tedham,Dwyer (EX) 3-3 (24-23) 59.89
Line Up: Harris, Govier Dwyer, Terry-Daley, Tedham
Comments: STOPPED: RTD does a small lock up in front of Dwyer but Dwyer over reacts does a 180 & leaves the oncoming Tedham with nowhere to go but into him.
Both riders are up & ok. Dwyer is disqualified but he is visibly not happy with that decision.
Re-run: Harris eventually takes the win with RTD hot on his heels keeping him honest.

Heat 09: Greenwood,Lawlor,Burnett,Priest 5-1 (29-24) 58.85
Line Up: Greenwood, Lawlor, Priest, Burnett
Comments: Lawlor had to shake off the Potters for the opening half a lap then it was comfortable for the 2 Heathens. A poor meeting tonight racing wise.

Heat 10: Ayres,Atkin,Harris (EF) ,Wallinger (EX) 3-2 (33-26) 57.56
Line Up: Ayres, Harris, Atkin, Wallinger
Comments: Wallinger while 2nd lap 2 bend 3/4 cocked it up so bad it sent Harris & Atkin scattering & then he managed to square up to the centre green then ride straight off the track
somehow he stayed on his bike. Atkin nearly hit the fence on the opening lap & rode a stormer to recover Harris retired just as Atkin was about to pass on the run to the line but managed to limp home for a point.

Heat 11: Perry,Terry-Daley,Davey,Dwyer (F) 3-3 (36-29) 57.56
Line Up: Perry, Dwyer, Davey, Terry-Daley
Comments: Perry about a 1/3 of a lap clear at the front looking around wondering where the other 3 are.
Dwyer fell on his own bend 3/4 lap 4. Texter says this has been the worst meeting here for years.

Heat 12: Re-Run: Atkin,Dwyer,Govier,Burnett (EX) 3-3 (39-32) 59.31 (Greenwood - Fell)
Line Up: Greenwood Dwyer, Govier, Atkin, Burnett
Comments: STOPPED: Disaster. Burnett caused all sorts of problems by two wheeling in to turn 1 on the inside and ending up almost hitting the fence. Govier had no choice whatever bit to lay the bike down or spearing in to next week. Ref let it go! Red light came as the front two were coming off turn 4. Greenwood has done a massive high side half a second after the red light came on. Looks like a collarbone job. Govier will be discludified but the race should have been stopped at turn 2 wiry Burnett being elbowed for the most horrendous attempt to get around the first turn.
UPDATE : Well. That delay for Dan to get treatment seems to have given the ref time to work it out. Despite the race having not been stopped initially he/she has correctly discludified Burnett as the cause of the stoppage. Govier invited back in correctly. Dwyer will replace Greenwood because, as I called it, he went down a fraction of a second after the red light came on.
Re-run: Good race up front.Atkin leading away around the outside with Dwyer chipping away on the inside. On the run to the line Atkin hold on for the win by half a bike. Good race if not somewhat unexpected.
Govier fell on his own but remounted to finish on lap 2 bends 1/2

Heat 13: Ayres,Perry,Davey,Priest 5-1 (44-33) 57.81
Line Up: Ayres, Perry, Davey, Priest
Comments: My word we even made hard work of that. Ayres away & gone. Perry came around the field to join him, But then turns 1/2 lap 2 Perry went too wide over the camber & allowed
Davey into 2nd , Perry then put it right a lap later with a superb sweep round the outside to re-take 2nd.

Heat 14: Lawlor,Dwyer,Burnett,Tedham 5-1 (49-34) 58.44
Line Up: Lawlor, Dwyer, Wallinger Burnett, Tedham
Comments: Heathens away & comfortable . After the race Lawlor who famously can't do wheelies tried his hand at doughnuts & failed miserably at that too. You could see
him laughing under his helmet.

Heat 15: Ayres,Perry,Atkin,Davey 5-1 ( 54-35) 57.85
Line-up: Ayres, Perry, Atkin, Davey
Comments: Heathens away and gone. That's all she wrote. As I said to my Dad regarding Ayres - when he celebrates every win like he's just won his 7th World title what's he going to do after a maximum! Well, left the bike by the start gate and came on to the dog track, arms aloft, a few bows to the crowd, a bit of chest thumping and of he didn't have his helmet on I think he'd have kissed the badge lol 😂 😂 😂
I maintain everybody should go out and buy themselves a Danny Ayres.
