Crowd is quite poor unfortunately, was expecting so many more with the weather! I've seen worse crowds but it's poor for a day like today. We'll see what it's like next week!

Comments: Brummies duo gate on a 5-1 but Locke quickly gets into 2nd on bend 2 lap 1. All riders spread apart by the end of lap 1. Not much overtaking in this heat.

Comments: Unsatisfactory start, all 4 back for the re-run.
Re-Run: Bowtell files out from the start and battles for a few seconds with Bacon before being overtaken by Bacon. Mason dragging a bit at the back while Bacon is flying at the front. Hurry falls on his own bend 3 lap 3 and red lights come on as he couldn't get up in time. Hurry excluded. Race Awarded.

Comments: All riders fly from the gate however Hampshire quickly pushed to the back - first bend bunching. Quite a distance between 2nd and 3rd by the end of lap 2. Doesn't seem to be a lot of 'exciting' racing so far.

Comments: Wajtknecht makes a filer with the Brummies duo not far behind but goes wide bend 1 lap 1 allowing the Brummies duo into a 5-1 for half a lap before Wajtknecht files past Bacon bend 4 lap 1. Stayed the same after that. Wajtknecht enjoying his return to Perry Barr.

Comments: Brummies duo gate but Cupitt nearly crashes heading into the backstraight on lap 1. Good battle between Morley and JPB almost getting past on the backstraight of lap 4. Cupitt falls on bend 2 lap 4 but is quickly up.

Comments: Race Stopped. All 4 back for the re-run, warning to rider in red much to the disgust of some Brummies fans around me!
Re-Run: Carr and Hurry fly from the gate. However Carr makes it to front first. Brilliant battle between the two throughout the race however Hurry just couldn't get through. Quite a gap between 2nd and 3rd and Spooner trailing at the back.

Comments: Brilliant bit of racing by Hampshire, absolutely flying. Locke battled hard to pass Cupitt throughout the heat but just couldn't find the speed or a good enough gap. Much needed 5-1 for the Brummies.
